Marina Z. Johnston holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Western Carolina University, with a minor in Art. She began her career at one of Hendersonville's most respected design firms in the late nineties, learning the craft from the ground up and developing a deep fluency in how spaces affect the way people feel.
In 2012, she founded her own firm, and in 2020 she relaunched as MJiD. Since then she has built a reputation as the kind of designer clients call first and refer to everyone. Not because of a signature style, but because of something harder to quantify: she truly listens, and she truly cares.
Marina is versatile by conviction. She works in every style because she believes design should serve the person living in it, not the designer's preferences. Whatever you love, she will make it beautiful.
